There must be a job opening at the Empire State Building to start the week, as someone’s status should be on the line for the embarrassing move made after the NFC Championship Game. In terrible, embarrassing, disgusting fashion, the Empire State Building changed its colors to honor the Philadelphia Eagles moving on to the Super Bowl.

Wait, what? Not only was the green showcased, but the caption for the tweet had people all over New York furious. This included star NY Giants safety Julian Love, who didn’t want to see this, not even for a second.

What’s next, a parade to honor Jalen Hurts and the magnificent season he’s had? At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Empire State Building decided to hang up a banner pushing for Nick Sirianni to be named the AP Coach of the Year instead of Brian Daboll. I mean, it’s clear they just love the Eagles.

Love wasn’t the only one upset with this showcase of Philly pride, as newspapers in the Big Apple also couldn’t believe what was going on. The ESB ended up changing its colors again after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship Game, but the damage was done.

If only the Giants could have taken down the Eagles in the Divisional Round, then all of this could have been avoided. Now, though, we have to worry about Philly beating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes is riding high after the thrilling win over the Bengals, and we hope he has some magic left. No one wants to see another showcase of love for the Eagles if they bring home their second Super Bowl title.

Never did we think that we’d be cheering for Kadarius Toney in the Super Bowl, but hey, anything to prevent the Eagles from winning it all. We won’t be able to stand their fan base if the Lombardi Trophy makes its way to the City of Brotherly Love.
