This is what an NY Giants legend is supposed to do. Michael Strahan, one of the best pass-rushers to ever do it, still bleeds blue and that’s never going to change. So, you’ll understand that he wasn’t too happy to check Twitter over the past couple of days and see all kinds of people come in and bash former No. 5 overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Thibodeaux got into it with some 49ers players after trolling them during the NFC Championship Game. Former San Francisco Pro Bowler Joe Staley hopped on social media and took a proverbial jab at Thibodeaux, which the youngster didn’t like one bit. Well, Strahan has entered the chat and he delivered a WWE-type slam on him.

Let’s not forget that Staley also went after Lawrence Tynes, which Strahan wasn’t going to let slide either. If anything, this has taught us that if you’re going to take a shot at the Giants or their players, then Strahan is going to be ready to deliver a massive hit, similar to the kind he’d deliver back during his epic playing days.

Strahan may no longer be playing, but he’s still earning the love and respect from Giants fans on the daily. You can tell just how much he cares about the organization and he knows the future is bright with Thibodeaux working with head coach Brian Daboll.

Thibodeaux got off to a bit of a slow start with the Giants during his first season, but then he exploded during the second half of the campaign. Despite him seemingly being held on every other play, he lived in the backfield and wreaked havoc on quarterbacks countless times.

Giants fans are ready to see what he can do next season and beyond. It goes without saying, but Strahan will surely be watching him closely as well.
