3. Kayvon Thibodeaux’s touchdown against Washington

In the Giants’ second matchup against the Commanders, they were desperate for a win as Washington was really the only team standing in their way of a playoff berth. Despite this, they got the job done, thanks in most part to Thibdoeaux, who had easily the best game of his career.

In addition to this, Thibodeaux had arguably the best play of his rookie year as well, taking down Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke, stripping the ball out, then picking it up and returning it for a touchdown to put the Giants up 7-3 early. This one is going to be talked about for a long time:

Thibodeaux would finish this game with 12 tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, one QB hit, and a touchdown en route to winning the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award. It really feels like this game made it almost certain that Thibodeaux is going to be a star in this league.

The 2023 campaign is (knock on wood) going to be incredible for Thibodeaux, as he showed so much in his rookie season and he’s only going to get better and better. Joe Schoen really hit it out of the park with this selection.
