2. Saquon Barkley’s 68-yard run in Week 1

After two injury riddled seasons, no one knew if Saquon Barkley would be back to the player he was his rookie season. However, in just his first game of the fall, Barkley put every single one of those doubts to rest, running the ball 18 times for 164 yards and one touchdown.

Among his runs was a monster 68-yarder from Barkley in the third quarter. This is the type of run the Giants had been missing for years at this point. Not only did it showcase that Barkley still had his elite speed, but the cut he would make on his touchdown run on the same drive showed he still had the agility.

Everything about this play was perfect, from the blocking, to the run itself, it’s just a shame that Kevin Byard was there to make a stop. This would have been more amazing if Barkley made his way to the end zone.

This game and run kicked off what would be a Pro Bowl season for Barkley, the second of his career, as he’d go on to run the ball 295 times for 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns, while catching 57 passes for 338 yards.
