1. Brian Daboll goes for two in the upset win over Tennessee

This kicked off the year with a bang. After scoring a crucial touchdown late in the fourth quarter against the Titans in Week 1, the Giants were down one and in need of a PAT to tie the game. However, Brian Daboll made it known he wasn’t here to mess around and he took a massive risk by deciding to go for two to potentially win the game.

Most coaches in this situation would just play it safe and take the PAT to force overtime. Daboll on the other hand knew what had to be done to set the tempo for the remainder of the season. Thankfully, that decision paid off.

After terrible seasons with Pat Shurmur and Joe Judge at the helm, Giants fans were praying that they finally got the right guy in Daboll. After just one week, it already seemed clear that the front office made the right decision. Not only did Daboll turn the culture around, but he won over everyone in New York too. He’s our pick for AP Coach of the Year, no question about that.
