NY Giants Mock Draft Round 2: Wisconsin OL Joe Tippmann

The interior offensive line for the Giants was a disaster in 2022 – actually, it’s been terrible for a while now. Enter Wisconsin center Joe Tippmann? Yes please. In his recent two-round mock, ESPN’s Matt Miller has Tippman going to the Giants in the second round and we’d surely love to see that happen as well.

The edges of the offensive line for the Giants are set with left tackle Andrew Thomas and right tackle Evan Neal. However, the rest of the unit feels a bit uncertain. Jon Feliciano was signed to a deal ahead of the 2022 campaign to be a stud center for the Giants, but he proved to be far too inconsistent.

There’s talk about Nick Gates possibly being re-signed and taking over at center, but a 6-6, 317-pounder like Tippmann could be the solution for head coach Brian Daboll at the position. In the second round, the Giants hold the No. 57 overall pick. If Tippmann is still there for the taking, Schoen should go with him.
