It really feels like cornerback James Bradberry isn’t as big of an NY Giants hater as we all thought he was. Despite Bradberry being furious with the way his release went down, and taking several jabs at the team ever since, the veteran CB has actually been singing a different tune of late and it’s been surprising to see.

First, Bradberry shocked a lot of folks by saying he wouldn’t rule out a return to the Giants in free agency if he doesn’t suit up for the Eagles next season. Really?

On top of that, Bradberry spoke with the New York Post over at the Super Bowl and he didn’t hesitate in saying he’s ready for quarterback Daniel Jones to get his payday. Will Joe Schoen end up making that happen for Danny Dimes in the near future?

James Bradberry is ready for Daniel Jones to get $35 million a year

"“I definitely think Daniel’s a franchise quarterback and I think this season showed that and also gave him some confidence in himself to know that he is a franchise quarterback,’’ Bradberry said via the NY post. “And he’s definitely got the guys over there supporting him as far as the coaches and the offensive players. I feel like he’s the guy and they should stick with him.’’"

Bradberry was a fan of Jones’ progression in 2022 and he’s not alone. Danny Dimes took quite the leap and he was a big reason why the Giants were able to improve to 9-7-1 in the regular season and then go on to stun the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round.

In the coming weeks, the hope is that Jones and Schoen really pick up their negotiations and come to some sort of an agreement. There’s a chance the G-Men place the franchise tag on Jones as well, but it’d be much better if a multi-year deal arrives instead.

Jones has been said to be looking for around $35-37 million a year, which could be right on the money for the NY front office. If you ask Bradberry, Jones deserves that kind of a contract. We should find out soon enough whether or not that happens.
