3. OLB Jihad Ward

It was quite the season for Jihad Ward, who was brought in to originally be a nice depth piece, but after some injuries to Azeez Ojulari and Kayvon Thibodeaux, he was given a much bigger role and had easily the best season of his career.

In 17 games, Ward racked up 36 combined tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, 23 total pressures, and one forced fumble. Ward had always been an okay player, a nice depth piece for any team, but this season Ward proved he is more than that and the Giants must bring him back for 2023.

Alongside having his best season yet, Ward was also a key locker room presence for this team, which caused many fans to fall in love with him. There are too many funny moments out of Ward this season to count and you can tell the team wants him here.

Similar to Shepard, Ward likely wouldn’t cost much to bring back, and considering the health issues Ojulari dealt with this past season, it could very well be worth bringing Ward back to fill in his shoes if these problems persist.
