It’s time for the NY Giants and Joe Schoen to really get going with their NFL Draft prep. For a lot of fans, this is the best part of the offseason. In his first year leading the charge, general manager Joe Schoen appeared to make all the right moves.
Between adding Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux in the first round last spring, to grabbing Dane Belton and Daniel Bellinger in the fourth, Schoen made a lot of amazing picks. Now, he’ll hope to have a repeat performance in 2023.
In our latest mock draft, we have Schoen and the Giants front office trading up to add a game-changing wide receiver. They will do this by sending the 25th overall selection, and their fourth-round pick, No. 128 overall, to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for their No. 20 overall pick. Why is this big?
Because the Ravens are also in need of a wideout and they hold the No. 22 overall selection. We think the Giants will jump in front of them to get their guy and ruin Baltimore’s first-round plans.
NY Giants Round 1 pick: USC WR Jordan Addison
With their first selection of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Giants will add USC wide receiver Jordan Addison. Addison could look to be the perfect addition to the Giants offense. During his time at both Pitt and USC, he made his presence felt. And at times, he looked to be one of the most dominant pass-catchers in the nation.
During the 2021 campaign, Addison put up incredible numbers. In his final season at Pitt, he appeared in 14 total games. Over these appearances, he recorded 100 receptions for 1,593 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. On the ground, he added 56 rushing yards and one touchdown,
Upon his arrival at USC, Addison once again put up strong numbers. While dealing with injuries, he still managed to take the field in 11 games. In doing so, he recorded 59 receptions for 875 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

Addison is the type of receiver that any team in the NFL could use. By trading up, the Giants could look to add this game-changer to their offense.
