NY Giants Round 7 pick: Alex Forsyth C Oregon

During his time at Oregon, center Alex Forsyth established himself as one of the nation’s best interior offensive linemen. With his experience across the line, he could bring depth to several different positions. Forsyth could also develop into a starter at the next level. Given time, he could take over the lead duties at the center position.

NY Giants Round 7 pick: Jay Ward DB LSU

While at LSU, defensive back Jay Ward proved to be one of the most versatile defensive backs in the SEC. He has spent significant time at cornerback and safety, which could lead to him being a solid addition to any defense.

In total, Ward left LSU with a total of 162 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, and 17 defended passes. He is a proven member of the secondary that could very well develop into a key piece of this Giants defense.

NY Giants Round 7 pick: Taron Vincent DT Ohio State

With the final pick of their 2023 draft class, the Giants will add Ohio State defensive tackle Taron Vincent. In recent seasons, the Giants have put together a defensive line full of elite weapons. In the middle, Dexter Lawrence has cemented himself as one of the best tackles in the NFL. But the depth behind him has been troublesome.

While Vincent isn’t projected to be an every-down defender, he is expected to be a key contributor against the run. If the Giants are looking for a solid rotational piece, Vincent could be just that and be a late-round steal.
