2: LB Jayon Brown

Things have really gone downhill for Jayon Brown during his time in the league, which is very unfortunate as Brown really seemed like an incredibly talented player for a couple of seasons back with the Titans.

Despite this, Brown just wrapped up his second year in a row in which he graded out as one of the worst linebackers in the league. This was tough to see.  While the Giants could swing on the potential that Brown bounces back into his former self, we really don’t think its worth bringing him in compared to some of the other options at linebacker through the draft and free agency.

In eight games with the Raiders last season, Brown racked up 43 combined tackles, while being a complete liability in coverage. In 237 coverage snaps, Brown allowed 27 completions on 30 targets for 256 yards.

Simply put, Brown has continuously gotten worse over the last three seasons and it’s to the point where his skill is comparable to that of Smith and Crowder, two former NY Giants linebackers who are among the worst in the NFL. This is another pass for us.
