1. Daniel Jones could cost himself even more money for the future
Whoever is in Jones’ ear telling him to go after Jackson-type of money is really messing things up for him. What Jones needs to realize is that he’s only 25 years old, turning 26 in May. Imagine he signs a four-year contract at a reasonable price, and that deal allows the Giants to build with playmakers around him.
Then by the time he’s 30, he could then ask for even more money with plenty of prime years for his career ahead of him. The way he’s thinking now, Jones will end up on the franchise tag and the Giants won’t be able to bring him in a star receiver, plus needed improvements for the interior offensive line.
Jones just had his best year. Yet Jones threw for 3,205 yards and 15 TDs on 6.8 YPA.

Those numbers ranked 15th, 21st and 25th respectively. He was tied with Marcus Mariota in TD passes and Mac Jones on YPA.
He's improving, but right now, he's an average starter. https://t.co/vMeTHQ7USw
Not only that, but the Giants need a serious makeover at linebacker, while building some depth for the secondary. None of that will be possible unless Jones snaps out of whatever he’s feeling and comes to terms that he’s not an elite starting quarterback just yet. There’s no reason for him to be paid like one.
The longer this madness carries out, the worse it’s going to look for Jones overall. Fans are starting to turn on him as well. If he’s serious about helping Big Blue get to a Super Bowl soon, Jones must be realistic with his salary demands. Right now, the opposite is the case.

4 RBs the NY Giants should stay away from in free agency
The Giants will be in the running back market this spring regardless of if they re-sign Saquon Barkley, and there are certain backs they should be avoiding.
