The man is looking to get his bag. NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will have a better idea of what things will be looking like for him next season very soon. Right now, it’s looking like either he’ll ink a multi-year deal with the Giants – not for $45 million a year though – or be placed on the non-exclusive franchise tag.

Despite the uncertainty of what’s to come for him, it’s not stopping Danny Dimes from working overtime in the weight room. A new workout clip of Jones putting in work made its way to Twitter and people are loving it. Is it just us, or does Jones look like he’s getting swole over there?

NY Giants QB Daniel Jones looks like he’s putting on muscle early on this offseason

With the amount of hits Jones took this past season, him bulking up a bit only makes sense. Imagine the 6-5, 230-pounder adding 10-15 pounds of muscle and then taking off for his impressive runs? It’d only open the door for more big plays to be on the way. It’s also make it tough for pass-rushers to bring him down.

One of the major takeaways from the 2022 campaign was offensive coordinator Mike Kafka opening up the playbook and letting Jones take off as time. Thanks to his impressive wheels, Vanilla Vick was born – and he rushed for more than 700 yards and seven touchdowns.

Seeing Jones be so mobile was great to see, and fans are hoping more of the same will be on the way in 2023. Leading up to the next campaign, everyone indeed will be waiting to see what general manager Joe Schoen ends up doing in this case.

The tag would result in $32.4 million for Jones next season, but that big of a cap hit was be a nightmare for the G-Men. Instead, NY supporters are still hopeful Jones and Schoen can agree to terms on a new contract instead. If Jones keeps on adding weight and looks bigger in his negotiations, it could be more of a selling point for him too.
