5 NY Giants players who will not be missed next season
1. WR Kenny Golladay
After two seasons of total misery, it was reported that the NY Giants will officially be releasing Kenny Golladay on March 15. We just know almost every Giants fan let out a sigh of relief once they heard the news.
During his two seasons in New York, Golladay did absolutely nothing and showcased just how incompetent Gettleman was, who decided to sign him to a terrible four-year, $72 million contract. Through 26 total games with the Giants, Golladay caught just 43 passes for 602 yards and one touchdown, dropping five passes as well.
Golladay’s horrid contract strapped the Giants down in terms of cap space over the last two seasons and made it incredibly difficult for Schoen to make a meaningful signing in his first year as GM.
We’re sure Golladay will sign elsewhere and have a relatively productive season, but at the end of the day he was awful with the Giants and just about all of that falls on him. Golladay had plenty of opportunities to make an impact and blew it at every turn. He’ll go down as one of the biggest busts NY has ever seen.
