Hey, where in the heck do you get the nerve, Adam Schefter?  As big as the NY Giants move to re-sign Daniel Jones was, plenty of people in East Rutherford are waiting to see what will happen with Aaron Rodgers. Could you imagine Jones and Rodgers owning the city and forming a rivalry in New Jersey?

This is something Jets fans are hoping for, as it looks like general manager Joe Douglas is serious on trading with the Packers for the future Hall-of-Famer. Schefter knows the Rodgers news is something people are following closely. He took advantage of that, trolling everyone on Thursday, making it seem like a blockbuster trade got done.

Adam Schefter fooled everyone on Twitter with his Jets trade tweet

Come on, Adam! This is something that so many people in the Big Apple are waiting to see how it plays out. There’s several options on the table for Rodgers – play for the Jets, retire, or somehow remain as the starter for the Packers next season, though all signs are pointing to Green Bay moving on with Jordan Love as QB1.

As soon as Schefter dropped his tweet, Gang Green as a whole got up out of their chairs and were ready to celebrate the fact that a star quarterback was actually going to rock an NYJ jersey starting next season. Well, that’s not going to be the case – at least not yet.

Ouch. Hey, no disrespect to Chuck Clark, but Jets nation was thinking that the deal was for Rodgers, not him. Meanwhile for Big Blue supporters, there’s no QB worries for them whatsoever, as Jones put the pen to paper on his new deal and general manager Joe Schoen is ready to build around him.

Jones is coming off the best season of his career, as both Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka helped him get his career back on track.

As for the other team in East Rutherford, the Jets were a laughingstock once again in 2022, and their QB play was something that should have been featured on Comedy Central. Rodgers could fix that, but it’s up in the air if that’ll happen or not.
