Darius Slayton hints he’s leaving Giants and wants to play with a Big Blue enemy
With the excitement from the NY Giants signing Bobby Okereke and trading for Darren Waller still being high, some people have forgotten that some Big Blue players could actually be on their way out of town. We’ve already seen the inspirational Nick Gates agree to a deal with the Washington Commanders, but what’s going to happen with Darius Slayton?
The speedster is expected to leave East Rutherford in free agency, as his price tag may end up being too high for general manager Joe Schoen. With Slayton looking for a potential new landing spot, it looks like he’s also interested in playing with a guy Giants fans aren’t too fond of: Darius Slay.

WR Darius Slayton may be leaving the NY Giants in free agency
Some breaking news arrived on Wednesday, with it being announced that the Eagles will be parting ways with Slay. With that decision, as the two sides couldn’t agree to a restructured contract, a standout cornerback is now out on the market. With this, Slayton is interested in where the star DB will end up next.
Who knows, maybe by some sort of a miracle both of these players suit up for the G-Men next season. However, that feels almost impossible, especially after how Slay was bashing Joe Schoen and the NY front office last campaign.
Slay didn’t hold back in ripping the Giants for how they handled the release of cornerback James Bradberry. Ironically enough, Philly turned around and pulled a similar move on Slay, which no one saw coming. Slay shouldn’t be a free agent for too long, as he’s a premiere CB in this league and several teams will surely be showing interest.
Meanwhile for Slayton, he’s had some issues with drops with NY, but he’s got blazing speed and can really open up the field. Soon enough we’ll find out the futures for Slay and Slayton, but we’re not expecting them to be in the NFC East once Week 1 rolls around.
