From the moment NY Giants general manager Joe Schoen was able to pull off his blockbuster trade to land tight end Darren Waller, Twitter exploded like wildfire. Countless people were thrilled to see the news, as Schoen was able to bring in a standout pass-catcher for quarterback Daniel Jones.

As happy as Schoen and Jones are right now, there’s other people who are pretty darn upset. The long list includes Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. In a short period of time, Jacobs has seen his offense lose quarterback Derek Carr, who was replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo, and Waller. He didn’t hold back by providing his thoughts on things on social media.

The Raiders trading Darren Waller has Josh Jacobs quite angry

That short and to the point tweet from Jacobs tells you everything you need to know about how he’s feeling right now. Wide receiver Davante Adams can’t be too thrilled either, as he left Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to try and win a Super Bowl in Sin City. Instead, the Raiders are looking like a completely different squad – they’re not scaring anyone.

As for the Giants and Schoen, life sure is good, isn’t it? While Waller has missed 13 regular season games the past two seasons due to injury, there’s no denying he’s one of the best tight ends in the game when he’s fully healthy. Him posting 1,000+ yard seasons in 2019 and 2020 hasn’t been forgotten.

Entering the offseason, getting weapons for Jones has been a top priority for Schoen and he’s already off to a strong start. In addition to trading for Waller, he has re-signed both Isaiah Hodgins and Sterling Shepard.

Once the NFL Draft rolls around, look for the G-Men to use their first-round pick on a WR1 for the future. Things sure are trending in the right direction for the Giants. The same can’t be said for Jacobs and the Raiders.
