2.CB  Shaquill Griffin

Since being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks, former UCF cornerback Shaquill Griffin has put together a strong career.

Over six seasons, Griffin has taken the field in 76 games, while starting in 72. He has also consistently remained productive, recording 327 total tackles, 262 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 59 defended passes, and six interceptions.

After spending the first four seasons of his career in Seattle, Griffin joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Through two seasons with the team and 19 appearances, he recorded 78 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and 11 defended passes.

In 2022, injuries limited Griffin heavily. While spending much of the season sidelined with a back injury, he appeared in just five games. He finished the season recording 29 total tackles, 23 solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and four defended passes.

With Griffin’s injury-riddled 2022 campaign, his stock may be at an all-time low. But that doesn’t mean that he can’t return to the form that he was in just one season prior.

If Griffin can stay on the field, he could be an elite addition to this Giants defense. He could also be on the search for a prove-it type deal to showcase that he can still be a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball.
