1. CB Rock Ya-Sin

Out of all of the cornerbacks currently available on the free agent market, Rock Ya-Sin may be the most perfect fit. The former second-round pick has made a career off of being elite in man coverage, and in this Wink Martindale-led defense, he could be the ideal candidate.

Since entering the NFL in 2019, Ya-Sin has been a force on the defensive side of the ball. After being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts, he spent three seasons with the team. Over this stretch, he appeared in a total of 41 games. In total, he recorded 138 total tackles, 117 solo tackles, 20 defended passes, and two interceptions.

Following the 2021 season, Ya-Sin and the Colts went their separate ways. The team chose to trade the young cornerback to the Las Vegas Raiders. Upon his arrival in Las Vegas, Ya-Sin once again produced a solid season.

Before being placed on injured reserve in Week 13, Ya-Sin was putting together another strong campaign. Over 11 games and nine starts, he recorded 45 total tackles, 37 solo tackles, and seven defended passes.

Much like Griffin, with Ya-Sin finishing the season on injured reserve, he could potentially be willing to sign a team-friendly deal. If that is the case, he should be on the Giants radar. With his addition, alongside whoever the team adds in the draft, this defense could be on course for a significant season in 2023.
