2. LB Deion Jones

Former Pro Bowl linebacker Deion Jones could be an interesting target for this Giants defense. Throughout his seven-year career, he has moved around at linebacker and has found success in doing so.

After being drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Jones spent the first six seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons. Over these six seasons, he recorded 696 total tackles, 453 solo tackles, 46 tackles for loss, 23 quarterback hits, 11 sacks, 47 defended passes, and 12 interceptions.

Following the 2021 season, Jones and the Falcons chose to go their separate ways. In turn, the veteran linebacker chose to join the Cleveland Browns. In his lone season with the Browns, he took the field in 11 total games, recording 44 total tackles and 25 solo tackles, the lowest of his career in both areas. He also added six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three defended passes, and one interception.

While the 2022 season was not the best for Jones, it appears that he still has good football to play. Over his first seven seasons, he recorded at least 106 tackles in five of these outings. He has also managed to stay on the field, playing in at least 15 games in all but two seasons.

Following a lackluster 2022 season, Jones could likely be signed for a lower-end deal. If he can perform at the level that he once did, he could be worth the risk.
