1. DL A’Shawn Robinson

One of the biggest problems with the Giants’ defense last season was their ability to stop the run. A large part of this issue, aside from their complete lack of talent at linebacker, was the fact that outside of Dexter Lawrence and Williams, the Giants didn’t have much depth on the defensive line. This is something that Schoen has seemingly wanted to fix this offseason, signing Rakeem Nunez-Roches, a notable run-stopper, to a three-year deal.

However, Schoen is not stopping there, as he has met with former Rams defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson, who is not only versatile but a great defender of the run. In 10 games with the Rams last season, Robinson racked up 39 combined tackles, five pressures, and two tackles for loss before suffering a torn MCL.

Adding a player like Robinson to the Giants’ defense would be a significant boost to the defensive line depth. Not only is Robinson an incredibly solid player, but he can also play just about all positions on the line, playing 94 snaps inside and 265 snaps outside last season.

Similar to both Jones and Ya-Sin, Robinson would not break the bank to bring in and would be a key depth piece to a defensive line that desperately needs it. Hopefully, Schoen can follow up and sign the 28-year-old DL to a good deal.
