Another day, another Odell Beckham Jr. update? Brian Daboll sure has NY Giants fans intrigued over his comments on Tuesday. Earlier in the week, John Mara said he’d be in favor of Beckham returning to his former stomping grounds in East Rutherford. It looks like Daboll wouldn’t be against the idea either.

When asked if he’s spoken to Beckham this offseason, Daboll, with a smile on his face, admitted that the two have texted ‘once or twice.’ Oh, you don’t say? While Daboll didn’t make it seem like a reunion will be going down or not, a lot of people are starting to get their hopes up.

Brian Daboll speaking with Odell Beckham Jr. has Giants fans excited

In recent weeks, plenty of people have bought into the Odell-to-the-Jets hype, but not so fast here. Mara is excited about the thought of Beckham donning a Big Blue uniform again, but he said it will come down to what Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen think is best.

We don’t have to tell you that thousands and thousands of people would welcome OBJ back to the Giants with open arms. He’s one of the most electric players people at MetLife Stadium have ever seen. After missing the entire 2022 season due to his torn ACL suffered the campaign before in the Super Bowl, Beckham is ready to get back on the field to make plays.

It’s been a bit of a surprise that he hasn’t signed with a new team yet, but who knows, maybe a decision will be coming in the next few weeks ahead of the NFL Draft. The Giants aren’t going to be able to offer Beckham a multi-year, high-salary contract.

However, if he’s open to an affordable price to catch balls from Daniel Jones, then this is something Schoen and Co. should entertain. Daboll speaking with him this offseason tells us that interest is there. How high is that interest? That’s something we’ll let you guess on your own.
