3 biggest NY Giants losers (and 2 winners) from Week 6 letdown in primetime
Winner: EDGE Brian Burns
It seems like every week Brian Burns continues to get better and better and this game against the Bengals was no exception. Cincinnati's offensive line is nothing to boast about. However, Burns was nothing short of dominant and helped keep the Giants secondary in check against guys like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Burns constantly made life difficult for Joe Burrow, racking up eight combined tackles, one sack, five pressures, and two tackles for loss. He may have had a slow start, but Burns has been incredible for the Giants recently and if he keeps this up, a Pro Bowl seems likely for the 26-year-old outside 'backer.
Winner: EDGE Azeez Ojulari
In a huge game for Azeez Ojulari's future with the team, he absolutely balled out. With Kayvon Thibodeaux having surgery on his injured wrist, the Giants needed Ojulari to step up. Fortunately, he did just that, having arguably the best game of his career when the lights were at their brightest.
Ojulari has played a small role this season, playing more than 25 snaps in a game just once. With no Thibodeaux this week, he saw the field for 41 snaps, racking up four combined tackles, two sacks, six pressures, and two tackles for loss. If he keeps this up while Thibodeaux continues to miss time, Ojulari could earn a nice contract extension by the end of the season - he's just gotta make sure to stay healthy.
