Loser: Deonte Banks

Each week, the second-year cornerback’s abilities and efforts on the field are being questioned. Banks was already benched last week during the Giants' Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Sunday afternoon against Washington, Banks had a rough outing, as he allowed a couple of touchdowns to Terry McLaurin.

Banks was benched due to effort on the field, which didn’t seem to be an issue on Sunday, as Banks was trying. But the other issue reared its head for Banks, which was the poor play aspect, especially since he is supposed to be the Giants' best cornerback on the team. Yet, he hasn’t looked that part whatsoever during the season.

Banks’ poor play is going to make the team need to address the secondary once the 2024 season ends, maybe even with an early pick depending on where the Giants' picks fall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Granted, the secondary was an issue of concern heading into the 2024 season. But nobody was expecting Banks' issues to be this bad of a concern.
