It's finally here. Rookies have already arrived at training camp for the New York Giants, with veterans soon to follow. This team has experienced some dramatic changes this offseason, none more impactful than the hiring of head coach John Harbaugh.
With the shift has come some raised expectations, with multiple players already generating breakout buzz.

5 Giants players with unmistakable hype entering training camp
WR Malachi Fields
In a wide-open wide receiver room, rookie Malachi Fields has a chance to make some noise. The third-round pick has been getting "a ton" of first-team reps already this offseason, per Dan Duggan.
With a strong training camp, he could win a spot in New York's starting lineup.
QB Jaxson Dart
It's low-hanging fruit, but Dart has to be mentioned here. The second-year quarterback has generated enough offseason buzz that a breakout season feels inevitable. Jermaine Eluemunor said that he believes Dart can be the best quarterback in the NFL, and Jameis Winston called him "one of the next superstars."
Dart has been a common breakout prediction this offseason. If he shows out in training camp, there will be no stopping his already growing hype.
TE Isaiah Likely
Comparisons to future Hall-of-Fame tight ends are hard to ignore. Ryan Clark recently likened offseason signing Isaiah Likely to a Kansas City Chiefs legend, saying, "He can have a young Travis Kelce effect for this New York Giants offense."
While Kelce-level expectations may be a bit rich, Likely enters training camp as an unquestioned starter for the first time in his career. He should see a major bump in production this season.
SAF Tyler Nubin
Nubin doesn't have the publicity of many of the other players on this list, but he could be set for a big season under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson. Matt Citak of the Giants' official site named the former second-round pick a breakout candidate.
Citak said, "The third-year safety is long overdue for a pick (or a few), and the presence of defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson should help bring the best out of the young safety, along with the rest of the secondary."
EDGE Abdul Carter
Carter might be the most obvious breakout candidate on New York's roster. His 66 pressures last season indicate that he disrupted opposing quarterbacks much more than his low sack total suggests. The former No. 3 overall draft pick is one of the most dangerous edge players in the NFL.
His year-two leap almost feels like a foregone conclusion.
