The New York Giants landed a fan-favorite prospect when they selected Cam Skattebo early in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The running back is already loved by the football world because of his fun running style that can get anyone excited. When he was selected with the 105th-overall pick, draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah had the perfect comparison to capture his running style.
Jeremiah said the best description for Skattebo’s game is a plinko chip from the classic game show The Price is Right. NFL Network then showed a video of the chip bouncing around on its way to the prize total, comparing it to the way Skattebo bounces off defenders.

This is perfect, because it accurately describes how Skattebo runs, and why fans love him so much. The former Arizona State Sun Devil is compactly-built at 5-foot-9, 219 pounds, and he absolutely loves contact. Whenever the ball is in his hands, he refuses to go down, clawing and stumbling to gain every yard.
In 2024, he carried the ball 293 times for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also caught 45 passes for an additional 605 yards for three touchdowns. Skattebo even completed one touchdown pass for 42 yards.
Now, the physical running back will be added to a backfield with the promising Tyrone Tracy Jr., who rushed for 839 yards and five touchdowns, and caught 38 passes for 284 yards and one additional touchdown. The Giants also have Devin Singletary in the backfield.
New York now has a promising young core on both sides of the ball, with Malik Nabers, Abdul Carter, and Jaxson Dart all in the mix now to be impactful players. With Tracy and Cam Skattebo now in he backfield, the Giants have the chance to a be an fun team soon.
