The NFL announced that former New York Giants cornerback Jason Sehorn will represent the team on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft, announcing Big Blue’s second and third-round picks live from Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Giants are currently scheduled to pick at No. 34 in Round 2 and at Nos. 65 and 99 in Round 3 on Friday, April 25.

Sehorn isn’t just a nostalgic pick—he’s one of the franchise’s most recognizable players from the late ’90s and early 2000s. Drafted in the second round (59th overall) by the G-Men in 1994, he quickly made a name for himself with rare athleticism, physicality, and a knack for the big play. He recorded 19 interceptions over eight seasons with New York, including four returned for touchdowns, tying a franchise record. He also holds the Giants’ all-time postseason record with four interceptions, highlighted by his pick-six against the Eagles in the 2000 Divisional Round.
Sehorn’s tenure had its ups and downs, including a brutal ACL tear during a 1998 preseason kickoff return, but his impact—both on the field and in the hearts of Giants fans—never faded.
Jason Sehorn to announce Giants’ picks on Day 2 of NFL Draft
Day 2 of the draft always has a more relaxed energy compared to the glitz of Round 1. It’s the night for core-building, where rosters are shaped and future starters are quietly unearthed. And this year, with Sehorn calling out names, there’s a little extra buzz for Giants fans.
The Giants enter Friday night with three key draft picks and a lot of possibilities. Right guard remains a need after missing out in free agency, so a player like Donovan Jackson (Ohio State) or Tyler Booker (Alabama) could be a top target at No. 34. Defensive tackle is another area to watch—especially if Walter Nolen (Ole Miss) is still hanging around early in Round 2.
There’s also room for another receiver to complement Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton. Jayden Higgins (Iowa State) and Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State) both make sense as physical, versatile options. And yes, quarterback talk continues to swirl. If a player like Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe slips into reach, the Giants could package picks and pounce.
No matter the direction, Sehorn’s presence gives the moment a little extra weight. He knows what it means to be a Day 2 pick who turns into a cornerstone. Now he gets to welcome the next generation—who, if things go right, could help define the next era of Giants football.
Maybe he’ll be the good luck charm Joe Schoen needs for back-to-back elite draft classes.
