With Super Bowl 59 in the books as the New York Giants' division foe, the Philadelphia Eagles coming out on top, all eyes are set on the offseason for Big Blue. The Giants saw their worst nightmare come true when not only did the Eagles take home the Lombardi Trophy, but their former Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley was a part of that championship team as well.

The G-MEN can now only hope that the 2025 season brings better fortunes for them as this past season not only saw them go on a franchise-record 10-game losing streak but finish the season with 14 defeats which was also a franchise-worst.

All of these horrible memories can erased this offseason if New York can nail the offseason which starts with getting a new quarterback. And former Saturday Night Live cast member and lifelong Giants fan Pete Davidson may be starting the recruiting process for that position.

Pete Davidson is pleading for Jamies Winston to join the Giants

During Super Bowl Media Week, veteran quarterback Jameis Winston was asking questions to players for FOX Sports and made headlines when he asked Barkley where he should play next season. Barkley, in a bit of a trolling moment towards the Giants, suggested he should take his talents to the Meadowlands. Now, Winston seems to think that's the right spot for him with Davidson now doubling down on that idea.

Davidson and Winston were seen in a funny moment competing against each other in a rock-paper-scissors game and when Winston came out victorious, the SNL alum then pleaded for the signal-caller to come to New York.

The potential idea of the Giants adding Winston as a potential mentor option for New York's next franchise quarterback may not be a bad idea after all. Especially after wide receiver Malik Nabers recently said in an interview that may be the right idea for the team to do this year.

Despite Winston having a very similar attribute to Daniel Jones, which happpens to be the turnover bug as he's the only quarterback in NFL history to throw 30 interceptions in a season, he has shown some moments of making big plays throwing the football. From having 400-yard passing games and helping offenses score 30 points as well as being a veteran of the game, that is certainly something the Giants desperately need.

While there has not been any reported interest from the Giants front office about possibly signing Winston on a one-year contract, lifelong Giants fan Pete Davidson certainly thinks it could be an option next season for the men in blue.
