The New York Giants are in the midst of a vast coaching search, as they try to find the right person to bring the franchise out of the basement in the NFC East. The Giants are focused on one name: John Harbaugh, who was fired by the Baltimore Ravens last week.
Reports since have indicated that the Giants are all-in on hiring Harbaugh, and that the coach is interested in the NFC East team.
On Monday, Giants fans received a scare when the Atlanta Falcons announced they completed an interview with Harbaugh. The Falcons are also considered a serious suitor for Harbaugh. Giants fans instantly wondered when they would interview him.
ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that even though Harbaugh interviewed with the Falcons, he "already has been conducting preliminary and extensive phone calls" with the Giants, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, and Arizona Cardinals.
Schefter also mentions that Harbaugh is setting up meetings this week and potentially next week before making a decision.

Giants expected to interview with John Harbaugh after Falcons
There's no need for Giants fans to panic. They are still expected to meet with Harbaugh at some point. They should feel good about having one of the latter interviews. If Harbaugh does head to East Rutherford for a visit, the Giants could make him an offer to ensure he doesn't leave. But the decision is all up to Harbaugh.
SNY's Connor Hughes reported on Monday that there has been "strong support" for Harbaugh inside the Giants building, with co-owner Steve Tisch being one of the main supporters. They believe that Harbaugh is a "culture-first leader with a proven track record."
Hughes also reports that the belief is that Harbaugh will sign with either the Giants or Falcons, with the team missing out likely landing former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
The Giants have tried the top-coordinator route for head coach, but it didn't pan out with Brian Daboll, with not much success. An experienced head coach was their preferred route, and to their luck, Harbaugh hit the market. We'll see when the Giants schedule an interview with him and if they can finalize a deal.
