Many want to tell Jaxson Dart how he should (or shouldn't) play football. Folks love the electrifying young quarterback's dual-threat skill set, but have also urged him and the team to reel it in just a little.
There's a fine line between aggressiveness and recklessness, especially when it comes to a franchise cornerstone like Dart. The Giants' former head coach, Brian Daboll, learned the hard way. However, there are also fundamental differences between being conservative and competing to the best of your ability, which New York experienced firsthand.
The Giants relentlessly dialed up design runs for Dart under Daboll's tutelage to a fault. Then, out of fear of injury, they acted as though the 2025 first-round pick's mobility didn't exist under interim Mika Kafka's watch.
But the club's starting right tackle, Jermaine Eluemunor, evidently believes Buffalo Bills superstar signal-caller Josh Allen rendered New York's risk-averse approach futile.
Jermaine Eluemunor counters Jaxson Dart health concerns with Bills, Josh Allen
Eluemunor spotlighted the Bills' usage of Allen in their 27-24 Wild Card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, specifically when near the end zone. Buffalo wasn't afraid to deploy the latter as a rusher, which the former couldn't help but relate to the narrative in New York about Dart:
QB Run on the goal line by buffalo…not sustainable huh lol foh

Everyone has criticized the Giants for putting Dart in harm's way, calling it "not sustainable," as Eluemunor said on X (formerly known as Twitter). ESPN's Jordan Raanan even wrote a feature piece on this storyline that consumed New York in the stretch run of the 2025 campaign.
Meanwhile, the Bills had no problem leaning on Allen at the goal line in the playoffs, and no one batted an eye.
Allen accounted for 66.7 percent of Buffalo's inside-the-five carries in their victory against the Jaguars, per Fantasy Points' data suite ($). He scored twice on the ground and once through the air in a dominant performance that propelled the Bills to the Divisional Round. Eluemunor ostensibly sees his heroic efforts as a reason for the Giants to unleash Dart rather than hide him.
New York tried jamming the genie all the way back in the bottle after seeing Dart put himself in harm's way often. Nevertheless, his legs unlock their offense, as Eluemunor alluded to and has previously expressed on the record.
The Allen-led Bills are a reminder to the Giants not to clip their greatest asset's wings.
