I’m not panicking, you are. I can’t stress enough how little I’m freaking out that New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was seen headed to the locker room after being evaluated for a concussion on Sunday afternoon.
Early in the fourth quarter, Russell Wilson unexpectedly trotted out to take snaps under center in what looked like one of the more confusing decisions of the game. But it wasn’t a decision at all — Dart had been in the blue medical tent before heading to the locker room with trainers.
As confirmed by The Athletic’s Dan Duggan, the 22-year-old signal-caller is being evaluated for a concussion. And it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Before the injury, Dart was doing his best Superman impression at Soldier Field. He was 19-of-29 for 242 yards through the air, while adding six carries for 66 yards and two rushing touchdowns on the ground. His semi-reckless running style has been electric, but it may have finally caught up with him.
With Dart out, Wilson re-entered the game for the first time since being benched in Week 3. The veteran opened the season as the starter but lost the job after a pair of rough outings. It’s unclear how much time Dart could miss, but if he’s placed in the concussion protocol, it’s no guarantee he’ll be back in Week 11.
This is a massive blow to a team already without star wide receiver Malik Nabers and rookie running back Cam Skattebo. Fingers crossed it's nothing.
Fortunately for the G-Men, the 36-year-old was able to lead them down the field and get points on the board to put them back up by double digits, 20-10.
The Giants aren’t going to the playoffs, but Dart’s development is the only thing left to root for this season. Any missed time is a setback for the team’s most promising player.
It was later reported that Dart would not return to the game.
