In 2024, the New York Giants found a special player with their first pick in the draft, selecting Malik Nabers with the sixth-overall pick. Nabers immediately established himself as one of the best wideouts in the NFL, and is entering year two as the focal point of New York’s offense. Now, the wide receiver believes the Giants struck gold again with their first selection of the 2025 Draft.

Nabers sat down with Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show, which made its way to Giants training camp on Monday, and he couldn’t contain himself when asked about third-overall pick Abdul Carter. The receiver immediately started laughing when Adams asked what he noticed about Carter, before expressing, “that dude is an animal.”

Nabers detailed how he doesn’t get to observe Carter during practice, because he’s on the field running routes, but explained how he’s often blown away when he watches the film afterwards. The receiver was essentially left speechless by Carter’s explosiveness and torque, and just said he can’t wait for everyone else to actually see him in a real game.

Quarterback Russell Wilson echoed those sentiments during his appearance on the show, telling Adams, “People are going to remember the name Abdul Carter for a while.” Wilson also made sure to highlight how Carter is playing alongside Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, and Kayvon Thibodeaux, creating a defensive front that should terrify opposing offenses.

With the Giants also boasting an improved secondary, the entire defense has the chance to be significantly better. Additionally, Nabers now has some help on offense with Wilson stepping into the quarterback spot. With other exciting additions on offense, as well as defense, the Giants have a chance to be much better than the three-win product that was on the field last season.
