New York Giants players and fans can take a deep breath. Star pass-rusher Micah Parsons was traded from the Cowboys to the Packers on Thursday in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Soon after, Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million extension, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

While the four-time Pro Bowler is staying in the NFC, Big Blue fans can be happy as he leaves the division, and they will only have to deal with Parsons once this season, as opposed to twice. The Giants face the Packers at home in Week 11, when rookie Abdul Carter will get his first chance to face off against his good friend and fellow Penn State alumnus.

While New York fans and Carter should be ecstatic about the Parsons news, there's nobody happier than the G-Men's offensive line, who won't have to match up against the two-time All-Pro defensive end anymore in Weeks 2 and 18. One of those linemen is right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who reacted to the trade on his social media account.

The 30-year-old lineman posted a picture of ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who has been known to troll Dallas whenever he gets the chance:

Eluemunor has become a fan favorite since joining the Giants last offseason, as he consistently engages with fans and is active on social media. He didn't hold back on this post, stating that he wished Parsons were being traded to the AFC, but he's happy he won't have to worry about him on the Cowboys anymore.

After Eluemunor reacted to Parsons being traded to the Packers, he followed that post with a message to the Big Blue Nation, expressing his gratitude for being a Giant. The veteran posted about having completed his ninth training camp of his career and expressed his love for playing for the organization in New York.

The Parsons news, combined with Eluemunor's post on Thursday, gives Giants fans more hope for their Week 2 matchup against the Cowboys and motivation for the upcoming season, where the G-Men aim to bounce back from a disappointing 2024 campaign.
