You can’t win games in April, but you can win over fans with some fresh threads—and the New York Giants just dropped their first round of jersey numbers for 2025 on social media.
With offseason workouts officially underway, the team welcomed back veterans and introduced new additions to the locker room at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. The vibe around this roster? Different. The Giants didn’t just add fresh faces—they added new personalities, and now those players have the digits to match.
Big Blue made noise this offseason by retooling key areas of the roster. They signed quarterback Russell Wilson to a prove-it deal and paired him with fellow vet Jameis Winston to stabilize the QB room. On the defensive side, the G-Men landed two legitimate playmakers for their secondary in safety Jevon Holland and corner Paulson Adebo.
Those guys are expected to start Week 1—and now fans know what numbers to be on the lookout for.
Giants unveil jersey numbers for 2025 season
Here’s a breakdown of the new jersey assignments and number changes heading into 2025:
Existing players new numbers
- Darius Slayton – No. 18 (was 86)
- Tyler Nubin – No. 27 (was 31)
- Deonte Banks – No. 2 (was 3)
New players numbers
- Russell Wilson – No. 3 (Thank you, Deonte Banks)
- Jameis Winston – No. 19
- Montrell Washington – No. 80
- Lil’Jordan Humphrey – No. 81
- Zach Pascal – No. 83
- James Hudson III – No. 55
- Stone Forsythe – No. 70
- Jeremiah Ledbetter – No. 96
- Roy Robertson-Harris – No. 99
- Chauncey Golston – No. 57
- Victor Dimukeje – No. 52
- Chris Broad – No. 49
- Jevon Holland – No. 8
- Paulson Adebo – No. 21
- Nic Jones – No. 31
- Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles – No. 44
Among the highlights: Russell Wilson reclaiming his iconic No. 3, thanks to Deonte Banks being a good sport—and a better teammate. Banks will now wear No. 2, which might just be the clean reset he needs after a bumpy sophomore season.
Tyler Nubin’s switch from No. 31 to No. 27 holds deeper meaning. It’s a tribute to his late uncle, a former Michigan DB, and continues a family tradition that dates back decades. “So, 27 actually started originally with my uncle, Uncle Steve,” Nubin said. “He actually played cornerback at the University of Michigan opposite Charles Woodson in college back in '94. He passed away 10, 12 years ago. That's really important to me."
Darius Slayton’s move to No. 18 ends his six-year run in No. 86, a number that never quite matched his speed-first style... maybe this is the shift he needs. The updated look gives him a little refresh for what could be his final ride with Big Blue.
As for what number a drafted quarterback might end up with? The options are slim. With all the single digits spoken for, No. 12 is the only realistic choice left—unless the Giants dust off a retired number, which seems unlikely. If Travis Hunter is the pick, he’d look just fine in 12. But if the Giants go quarterback at No. 3, that rookie may not have much say—it’s either 12 or bust.
One thing’s for sure—when the Giants take the field in 2025, they’ll look a little different. Hopefully, they play like it too.
