New York Giants fans are sure to perk up for this one. According to multiple team reports, things might not always be sunny in Philadelphia. At least, that’s the vibe after a truth bomb got dropped on the City of Brotherly... Love(?), with criticism of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts taking center stage -- and not the constructive kind.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler peeled back the curtain on the Hurts-Philly disconnect, and it's about as juicy a story as Big Blue Nation is going to get. It's not utter chaos and total meltdown mode yet, but the writing is on the wall. The findings weren't great (if you're an Iggles fan), fanning the flames that the 27-year-old signal-caller isn't necessarily as chill in the locker room as he seems to be portraying to the outside world.

Gotta love trying to be someone you’re not to impress the fans. What started out as an in-depth look at Philly’s 2025 collapse quickly turned into an indictment of the 2020 53rd overall pick. Fowler spoke to a team source who didn’t hold back, saying:

"Poor body language, not always bought in, not the most coachable and the players notice."

Ask Chat GPT what characteristics you wouldn't like to see from your franchise quarterback, and I'm willing to bet those three would be near the top.

Giants fans have to love what’s coming out about Jalen Hurts

The former Alabama standout has always toed the line of good-not-great, but team success has pushed him into the "greatness" conversation. It's been easy to see from North Jersey that he's largely a by-product of his surroundings, and with elite talent around him, he's good enough not to get in the way.

Hurts gets paid a lot (five years, $255 million) for a quarterback who’s never thrown for 4,000 yards or more than 25 touchdowns in a season. And you know what they say: more money, more problems.

As if the laundry list of not-so-great qualities wasn't bad enough, Fowler also shared:

"A source close to Hurts said the QB needs coaches who will 'check him,' opining that Hurts had "too many 'yes' people around him" this past season."

That’s... not ideal. There’s a reason why people keep “yes people” around them -- they like things the way they like them and don’t like to be challenged. So yes, by all means, bring in coaches who will “check him” and throw him off his game. If that means it weakens the Eagles -- who already look like the energy vampires got to them -- then I’m all ears.

The downfall of their hated rival is going to be glorious. It's going to be hilarious. It's going to be so much fun to watch. Let’s just say things don’t feel quite as buttoned-up in Philly as they used to.

As R.E.M. once said, "Everybody hurts sometimes. Everybody cries."
