The New York Giants hosted their annual Town Hall event on Monday night, featuring players like Jaxson Dart, Brian Burns, Cam Skattebo, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and members of the 2026 rookie class. Fans had the chance to ask questions and get some insight into what to expect in 2026.

Hearing from the players is always exciting, but head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen also provided some interesting insight into the offseason, including the coaching search, free agency, and the draft. However, one Harbaugh comment in particular stood out above the rest.

His comments about first-round pick Arvell Reese should have Giants fans extremely excited about the future and may have Jets fans wondering what could have been.

John Harbaugh's comments make you believe the Jets may have messed up passing on Arvell Reese at the NFL Draft

Harbaugh praised Reese, a linebacker out of Ohio State whom many fans did not expect to still be available when the Giants picked at No. 5, as he was widely projected to be a top-three pick prior to the NFL Draft.

The 63-year-old believes Reese “is going to be a star in this league for many years to come,” which should absolutely have Big Blue fans fired up about the team’s future, especially the front seven, which could realistically become one of the best units in football next season.

The Jets passed on Reese and instead opted for Texas Tech’s David Bailey, a decision that may age very poorly if Harbaugh’s prediction comes true.

We all know what Reese is capable of, but since being drafted by Big Blue, one silly social media video came out that might have some people questioning if the 20-year-old was the right pick.

Malik Nabers recently posted an Instagram story of Reese napping in the Giants’ locker room, reminding fans of when first-round pick Abdul Carter struggled to stay awake and was late to meetings last season.

Still, it is far too early to judge Reese based on a social media clip or compare him to Carter. Carter eventually took accountability and finished his rookie year strong anyway.

With Harbaugh calling Reese "a star," it shows his confidence in him and belief that he's on the right track. You have to imagine if the G-Men were worried about him on or off the field, they would've passed on him.

Reese will still have to prove it once the games begin, but if Harbaugh’s prediction ends up becoming reality, the Jets are going to hear about passing on him for a very long time.
