Michael Strahan has been admitted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation announced on Wednesday. Before he was setting single-season sack records in the NFL, hosting Good Morning America, and putting on Hall of Fame gold jackets, the New York Giants legend was routinely terrorizing FCS quarterbacks at Texas Southern.

He was so dominant that he graduated with the school’s single-season sack record (19) and the program’s all-time sack record (41.5). His efforts earned him plenty of well-deserved hardware, including First-Team All-American honors, Division I-AA Defensive Player of the Year, 1992 Black College Defensive Player of the Year, two-time SWAC Defensive Player of the Year, and All-SWAC recognition.

The thought of a player of Strahan's caliber feasting on future mid-market software sales development reps is objectively hilarious. The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder parlayed his incredible success into becoming the 40th overall pick in the 1993 Draft, and in 2014, he was inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame that same year, and has now finally completed the sweep with his most recent NCAA honor.

He was truly one of the best.

Strahan went on to have one of the most impressive NFL careers of all time. After 15 seasons -- all in Giants blue -- he made seven Pro Bowls, earned six All-Pro selections, and won a Super Bowl. His No. 92 jersey was retired in 2021, and he was named to the league's 2000s All-Decade Team.

The four coaches are Larry Blakeney (Troy), Larry Kover (Northwestern College [IA]), Urban Meyer (Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, Ohio State), and the GOAT, Nick Saban (Toledo, Michigan State, LSU, Alabama).

This honor should serve as a reminder of what this franchise can be when it gets things right. Here's to finding the next Michael Strahan.
