It’s a crucial time of year for the New York Giants, and no, it’s not because of the playoffs; they aren’t even in the postseason. It’s because the coaching carousel is underway, and the franchise has already conducted interviews with several candidates for their head coaching vacancy.

Joe Schoen and the front office have already met with Kevin Stefanski, Raheem Morris, and Mike Kafka, among others, and there are still more meetings scheduled or yet to come. We can expect Mike McCarthy and Antonio Pierce to come in for interviews and, of course, John Harbaugh to also meet with the Giants when he is ready to start interviewing with teams.

Many expect Harbaugh to be the heavy favorite as the Big Blue’s next head coach, including one Big Blue legend who essentially laid out why New York is a more attractive job for the 63-year-old over the Dolphins, who have also expressed interest in the former Ravens head coach.

Phil Simms says John Harbaugh should choose the Giants over Dolphins

Legendary quarterback Phil Simms recently appeared on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, and when asked about the possibility of Harbaugh going to Miami, he stated that the Giants are the more attractive job, without question, and it's not close, as the Dolphins have more work to do.

Simms added that the Giants would have a quicker turnaround than the Dolphins, given how impressive the G-Men have been at times this year, calling them fun to watch and stating they have a chance to be good next season with the emergence of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“I watched Jaxson Dart a lot last year leading up to the draft, but he turned out to be and looked better on an NFL field than I saw him ever look, even in college,” Simms said about Dart in his rookie season.

Simms is right: the “Jaxson Dart effect” should influence many potential head coaching candidates like Harbaugh to show interest in the Giants, who can look forward to the opportunity to work with him. This season, he threw for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns and had 487 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground, and it can only go up from here.

Not to mention the G-Men also have a top-five pick in this year’s draft, which they can use on a player like Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate or Arizona State wideout Jordyn Tyson, who you can pair with a healthy Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo.

You heard Simms: the Giants' job is more attractive to Harbaugh than the Dolphins or any other opportunity available, bottom line, and candidates should be lining up to interview with Big Blue.
