The New York Giants got it done on Sunday.

After heading into Week 4 with a 0-3 record, resulting in New York opting to start their rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart, against the previously undefeated Los Angeles Chargers, the G-Men were able to pull off a stunning victory.

New York shocked the Bolts at MetLife Stadium, winning 21-18 to notch their first victory of the season. While Dart wasn't perfect on the afternoon, passing for just 111 yards on 13 completions, the 2025 first-round pick still showed lots of potential against an elite defense, rushing for an extra 54 yards, while keeping plays alive with his legs.

While Big Blue's win may have been overshadowed by losing its standout wide receiver Malik Nabers to a season-ending ACL injury, the upset win deserved a high grade. And CBS Sports' John Breech agreed.

Giants earn high praise after impressive Week 4 win

Led by their 22-year-old rookie sensation, Breech gave the Giants an "A" grade for knocking off a juggernaut:

The first start of Jaxson Dart's career was a memorable one for the Giants," Breech wrote. "Dart's numbers won't wow anyone -- he threw for just 111 yards -- but he provided a spark that just wasn't there with Russell Wilson. Dart totaled two touchdowns, including a 3-yard pass to Theo Johnson in the third quarter that provided what ended up being game-winning points."

"This was arguably the biggest upset of the NFL season and thanks to this win, this team is going to be playing with a lot more confidence going forward."

Head coach Brian Daboll and Big Blue entered Week 4 in desperate need of a win after two lackluster offensive performances. Their Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys — sandwiched between those disappointing outings — ended in a heartbreaking overtime loss that many felt they should’ve won.

Even though it may have been earlier than what Daboll had anticipated, starting Dart proved to be the right call and perhaps the spark this team needed.

This was certainly one of the most impressive wins fans have seen in a long time. The G-Men defeated not only a previously undefeated team and a playoff squad from last season, but also a Chargers team with championship aspirations.

Without question, the Giants deserve an “A” grade for their convincing win. And as they gear up for another winnable matchup against 0-4 New Orleans, could the vibes in the Meadowlands be shifting dramatically?
