After years of shuffling through quarterbacks post-Eli Manning, the New York Giants might’ve finally found their long-term signal caller in Jaxson Dart. The rookie has shown real promise in relatively limited action.
They’ve also got a few legitimately intriguing skill position players, which could have this team closer to competing than people realize. Yet somehow, they’re 3-13 and locked into a top-two pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. That alone is a massive indictment of general manager Joe Schoen and the lackluster coaching tandem of Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, the G-Men have plenty of roster holes to fill. The offensive line can’t be held together by Andrew Thomas alone. Malik Nabers and the receiver room need support. Deonte Banks and the secondary are still a mess. And the linebacker unit could use reinforcements to unlock the defense’s full potential.
What the Giants decide to do with the second overall pick is anyone’s guess, but as this mock draft roundup shows, they’ve got tons of options.
Giants have unlimited options in 2026 NFL Mock Draft roundup
Alex Ballentine, Bleacher Report: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
Jordyn Tyson would be a strong pick for the Giants because he checks every box for what this offense needs opposite Nabers: polished route-running, reliable hands, YAC potential, and the versatility to move around the formation.
He’s the type of pro-ready wideout who can step in from Day 1 and make Dart’s job infinitely easier, giving Big Blue the dangerous receiving tandem they’ve been missing for years.
Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports: Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
Arvell Reese might feel a bit like pass-rusher overkill, but don't knock it till you try it. He's an interesting choice because he gives their defense a rare blend of size, speed, and versatility that could instantly elevate the front seven.
Pairing him with Abdul Carter would create a freakishly athletic pass-rushing tandem, and his ability to get after the quarterback, chase down plays, and hit with authority fills multiple needs for a defense still searching for an identity.
Nick Baumgardner, The Athletic: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
Baumgardner has New York swinging a trade with the Cleveland Browns for the No. 2 overall pick. Big Blue moves back from second to sixth to select Ohio State's star wideout, Carnell Tate. The mock only goes to 18, so it's unclear what else the Giants would get in the trade back, but it's fair to assume their other 2026 first-rounder and another high draft pick in 2027.

Carnell Tate fits the team for a slightly different reason than someone like Tyson, and that’s exactly why he makes so much sense.
Where Tyson brings versatility and separation, Tate brings polish, size, and reliability. At 6-foot-3, he’s a pro-ready boundary receiver who wins with route precision, body control, and strong hands, giving Dart a dependable target in traffic and the red zone. Paired with Leek, Tate gives G-Men the weapon their offense has lacked for years.
