NFL Rumors: NY Giants fans are begging for a Devin White trade on Twitter
This is something that not a lot of people expected leading up to the NFL Draft. On Tuesday, shockwaves were sent across the NFL, as the breaking news dropped that former All-Pro linebacker Devin White has officially asked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to trade him.
Life after Tom Brady is only getting worse for the NFC South side. White is a stud linebacker and countless teams are surely going to try and land his services. How about the NY Giants? From the moment the White report dropped, Big Blue supporters have been all over social media calling for Joe Schoen to work his magic once again.

Will the NY Giants be in on a potential Devin White trade?
White has been a monster for the Bucs ever since he arrived to the league in 2019. Since being taken in the first round, he's appeared in 62 games for TB, all starts. In that time, he has 484 total tackles and 20.5 sacks to his name. With NY still hoping to improve the LBs room, it's easy to see why fans are so fired up of the thought of him making plays alongside Bobby Okereke.

As much fun as it is to think about White balling out for the Giants and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, it doesn't seem likely from a financial standpoint. Next season, White has a cap hit of nearly $12 million. That's a huge chunk of change that the Giants don't have available.
Not only that, but White is going to be looking for a monster extension next offseason. It could potentially take a second and fifth-round pick to land White, but that's not the issue. The problem is the investment that would come with it in addition to the draft picks. Again, bringing in White would be amazing, but we just don't think Schoen is in a position to get it done.
