1. Carson Beck - Georgia

The player the Giants should be scouting the most this season is Georgia quarterback Carson Beck. Beck had an unbelievable season last year, throwing for 3,941 yards, third-most in the FBS, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Beck also had a 72.4 percent completion rate, the fourth-best in FBS football. He rushed for 126 yards and four touchdowns and finished with an 86.0 quarterback rating.

With tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Ladd McConkey getting drafted in this past NFL Draft, Georgia's offense will look slightly different this year. We can expect transfer running back Trevor Etienne from Florida, wide receiver Colbie Young from Miami, and tight end Ben Yurosek from Stanford to make a significant impact. Senior wideout Dominic Lovett is also in line for a big season this year after posting 613 yards and four touchdowns last fall.

If Beck can have a second straight dominant season with Georgia, he could be in the Heisman conversation and a candidate for the 2025 NFL Draft's No. 1 overall pick. In ESPN analyst Field Yates's first 2025 mock draft of the year, he had the G-Men trading up from No. 6 to No. 1 to select Beck. Yates had the Patriots earning the first overall pick and had New England swapping first-round picks with the Giants, which was a possibility this year when Big Blue tried to trade up from No. 6 to No. 3 to select Drake Maye.
