WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton

This is an unfortunate one to list, as Bryce Ford-Wheaton was one of the most underrated athletes in the 2023 NFL Draft class. However, a torn ACL cut his rookie season short. Considering the woes of the Giants wide receiver core last year, Ford-Wheaton could have made a real impact on offense, but I guess we'll never know.

Now, after recovering from his injury, Ford-Wheaton is still getting struck by the injury bug, and it's seemingly something new every week. Now, Ford-Wheaton has an apparent hand injury and his status for Week 2 of the preseason looks to be questionable.

In their matchup against the Lions, Ford-Wheaton caught one pass on two attempts for six yards. To put it simply, if he can't produce on the field, his chances of making the roster are going to be slim, especially if he can't remain healthy.

Ford-Wheaton, at the very least, could have been a reliable gunner for the Giants on special teams, but with guys like Miles Boykin showing out at the position in Week 1, the front office may not wish to waste time hoping Ford-Wheaton can finally get healthy.
