3 NY Giants winners (and 3 losers) from the first part of the season
Loser: EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux
Yup, 2023 looked to be the year Kayvon Thibodeaux figured things out. He had 11.5 sacks, a few forced fumbles and routinely made his way into the backfield. All signs pointed to him being the guy the Giants thought they were getting when they drafted him with the No. 5 overall pick.
However, the start to his 2024 campaign has been slow. He was an absolute no show in the opener in which he had zero tackles across the board. He has shown signs of life recently with at least three tackles in the past three games. Plus he has combined for two sacks in the past two weeks.
But, when you're someone like Thibodeaux, those numbers simply won't cut it. He needs to find a way back to being what he was in 2023 and get after the opposing team's quarterback. If he can become that game wrecker again, the Giants may have a chance at turning the season around.
