3 NY Giants winners (and 3 losers) from the first part of the season
Winner: WR Malik Nabers
It is undeniable that Nabers is the biggest winner of the first quarter of the NFL season. The No. 6 overall pick had an impressive debut with five catches on seven targets for 66 yards. Then he had his coming out party against the Commanders - 10 catches on 18 targets for 127 yards and his first touchdown. He was the Giants offense that week.
He followed that up with a two-touchdown performance against Cleveland and had another double digit, 100+ yard game against Dallas. Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll had Nabers as the best receiver in the draft and right now he's proving them right and then some. Nabers is so good so early it's almost unbelievable.
He has a real shot at leading the league in receiving yards as a rookie if he can stay on the field. Unfortunately, He suffered a concussion late in the game against Dallas and he won't play against the Seahawks. As good as he's been, there is no need to rush him back. The Giants are a couple of losses away from this being a lost season and Nabers needs to be protected at all costs.
