3. Furman TE Mason Pline

We know what you're thinking right now - who? Mason Pline would be a fascinating project for the Giants at tight end, a small school pass-catcher who originally cut his teeth on the basketball court. He began his collegiate career at Ferris State, but Pline decided to move to Furman after falling back in love with the pigskin.

The sample size is small, as Pline only caught 31 passes for four touchdowns in 2023, but his athleticism is appealing to teams. The Giants were one of the three teams to meet with Pline during the pre-draft process, along with the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers. Obviously, there’s a bit of interest between the Giants and the unheralded tight end.

Even if Pline isn’t drafted by the Giants, if he becomes an undrafted free agent, New York would do well to bring him to town. They have a need at tight end, and Pline would be a fascinating project for the team in need of offensive talent. We're still waiting to see if Darren Waller retires or not. If he does, we could look back on Pline being a seventh-round pick as a smart move from the G-Men.
