3. The offensive line is fixed

This was a huge shock for many Giants fans, as the offensive line looked solid, despite it being made up of backups. Against the Lions, the Giants offensive line only allowed two sacks. While that was a welcoming sign to see in the first preseason game of the year, the offensive line is still a work in progress.

The Giants offensive line was a mess last season, to say the least, as they gave up the most sacks in the league with 85. The next closest to them was the Washington Commaders by a healthy margin with 65 allowed. It was nice and promising to see the O-linemen out there protecting Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito well for the majority of the game, but we have yet to see the starters play in a game.

By the looks of it, it seems like the Giants have depth at the offensive line position with only two sacks surrendered, but we have to see the starters out there this preseason. Can Andrew Thomas continue to play like the Pro Bowl tackle he is? Will the signings of Jermaine Eluemunor, Jon Runyan Jr. and Greg Van Roten pay off? Also, can Evan Neal stay healthy and be productive at right tackle? These are all questions that must be answered in the final two games of the preseason. It was nice to see the backup linemen play well, but there's still a lot of work to do with the Giants offensive line.
