There is still a lot of work to be done by Joe Schoen, but he has done a lot of work with the major overhaul of the current NY Giants roster. There are still some areas of need, and the team does lack that certain star power that people may look for.

However, they have a very good young nucleus of players that, if they can continue to develop, will lead the Giants back to the organization many fans have been waiting for. Here are some positions Schoen and Co. have helped turn into positions of strength for New York:

4. Wide receiver

The wide receiver group is night and day better than it has been in the past. The Giants were trotting out different street free-agent players that were starting a week later for a couple of seasons. Schoen has come in and has added a lot of talent to the position, both young and veterans. The receiver room has had a complete makeover, and the training camp battles coming are going to be intense to say the least.

The Giants have five wide receivers we're going to be seeing come September. Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, Jaylin Hyatt, Isaiah Hodgins, and Darius Slayton lead the crowded receiver room, and have a chance to be one of the best sneaky productive receiver rooms in the entire league. Schoen has not only added at least one receiver every draft since being hired, he has also done work in free agency and the undrafted free agency frenzy that follows the draft. Schoen has added wideouts Bryce Ford-Wheaton, John Jiles, and Ayir Asante as undrafted free agents, along with veteran free agents Allen Robinson, Gunnar Olszewski, and Isaiah McKenzie.

Both proven and unproven talent will be out on the field this summer competing for a chance to earn a spot on the team. From starters to special teams players, there will be ups and downs, but with such a young core at the top, Giants fans have to be excited seeing Nabers, Robinson, and Hyatt lining up on the field. The group Schoen has put together is going to be fun to watch.
