Winner No. 4: RB Devin Singletary

The Giants did draft a running back later in the 2024 NFL Draft with a Round 5 selection, but their choice not to use a Day 2 pick on one, or even a Round 4 selection, speaks to their confidence in free agent addition Devin Singletary.

New York was an easy landing spot in mock drafts for running backs. There was a bevy of fascinating prospects available during Day 2 and Day 3, and some experts believed that was the direction the Giants would take after losing Saquon Barkley, but New York waited until their second-to-last pick to add to the group.

Now, Singletary will be the unquestioned leader of the RBs, something he’s yet to do in the NFL. Last season’s rookie RB Eric Gray figures to get some more touches, and rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy Jr. will be the wildcard. But make no mistake, this is Singletary’s room.

The former FAU running back played well with the Houston Texans last season, and this will be his biggest NFL opportunity yet. The Giants are believers he can outplay his past and provide ample production for Big Blue.
