2. LB Darrian Beavers

It's been a tough journey for Darrian Beavers, as the 2022 sixth-round pick tore his ACL during his rookie preseason, and didn't really look the same when we saw him on the field last season. This led to him being released and brought back on the practice squad following cut day. Now, heading into the 2024 season, it looks like Beavers has once more chance to prove what he is capable of.

The Giants currently have three linebackers who will easily be playing ahead of him this season, Micah McFadden, Bobby Okereke, and Isaiah Simmons. However, with Shane Bowen saying that Simmons will be used more all over the field, a door could be opened for Beavers to play some real snaps at linebacker this year.

In order to do that, though, Beavers must outperform rookie Darius Muasau, which is possible. Being two years removed from his ACL injury will likely have Beavers in the best shape possible leading up to training camp and the preseason.

Another exciting preseason could allow Beavers to remain on the roster depending on where he would fit into Bowen's defense. Just like Owens, though, Beavers feels like a lock to make the practice squad if he does not make the final cut.
